The deal was signed at the \u00c9lys\u00e9e Palace in Paris in the presence of French President Fran\u00e7ois Hollande.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cThe skies have cleared for Iran\u2019s flying public and Airbus is proud to welcome Iran\u2019s commercial aviation back into the international civil aviation community. Today is a significant step in the overhaul and modernisation of Iran\u2019s commercial aviation sector and Airbus stands ready to play its role in supporting it,\u201d said Fabrice Br\u00e9gier, president &amp; CEO of Airbus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 1em; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', sans-serif; font-size: 0.938em; line-height: 1.5; padding-left: 1.25em; padding-right: 1.25em; color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The total deal, which is worth more than US$25 billion at list prices, comprises 45 single-aisle aircraft \u2013 21 A320s and 24 A320neos \u2013 plus 73 twin-aisle jets, including 27 A330s, 18 A330-900neos, 16 A350-1000s and 12 A380s. The agreement also includes pilot and maintenance training and support services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 1em; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', sans-serif; font-size: 0.938em; line-height: 1.5; padding-left: 1.25em; padding-right: 1.25em; color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">These new jets will replace Iran Air\u2019s existing fleet of 43 aging Airbus A300, A310, A320 and Boeing 747 aircraft.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 1em; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', sans-serif; font-size: 0.938em; line-height: 1.5; padding-left: 1.25em; padding-right: 1.25em; color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cToday\u2019s announcement is the start of re-establishing our civil aviation sector into the envy of the region and along with partners like Airbus we\u2019ll ensure the highest world standards,\u201d said Farhad Parvaresh, Iran Air\u2019s chairman &amp; CEO.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 1em; font-family: 'Source Sans Pro', sans-serif; font-size: 0.938em; line-height: 1.5; padding-left: 1.25em; padding-right: 1.25em; color: #222222;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">And the Airbus deal could be just the beginning for Iran.
