Four pillars of success have been identified.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ministry hosted \u201cPlanning for Growth \u2013 Egypt\u2019s Tourism 2016\u201d, a conference for more than 200 tourism sector representatives.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attendees from 25 countries including senior figures from airlines, hotel groups, tour operators, holiday companies and governments heard His Excellency Hisham Zaazou, Minister of Tourism, announce the \u201cCairo Tourism Declaration\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Its four pillars include security, strengthening cultural tourism, enhancing resorts and telling Egypt\u2019s story to the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

UK Ambassador to Egypt John Casson welcomed the \u201cgreat initiative by the Ministry of Tourism because we have a strong mutual interest in increasing the number of tourists in Egypt\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBritish people love Egypt, and love visiting Egypt for their holidays. Indeed, many British people are here in Egypt even today \u2013 in Hurghada, Luxor, Marsa Alam, Cairo, Alexandria.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere remains great interest in Egypt and in Britain in the work to restart flights to Sharm El Sheikh.  I know how important this is to Egypt\u2019s tourist industry and indeed the whole economy. The world can\u2019t leave Egypt to deal with these problems alone \u2013 to beat terrorism we have to keep Egypt\u2019s economy strong<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n
