Wonderful venue, wonderful food<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n

Came highly recommended and understandably so. The venue is breathtaking with the most beautiful views of Stellenbosch. The food was simply superb. All our meals were beautiful, tasty, generous and complex in flavour. The restaurant offers amazing value for the price. The service was professional yet relaxed. Certainly one of SA’s best!<\/span><\/p>\n

We stayed at the Jordan luxury suites (fantastic) over our wedding anniversary and dined at Jordan restaurant for lunch one day. Very friendly staff, lovely views and excellent food. Our dessert especially was to die for. A couple of small points not perfect but not enough to take away from a fabulous afternoon<\/span><\/p>\n

great wine tasting experience in Stellenbosch. Waiter was really knowledgeable and helpful. If you buy a bottle of wine you get the wine tasting money back which makes it incredible value! Beautiful green spaces with great view on the table mountains.<\/span><\/p>\n

Total disappointment in management<\/span>

I had booked a breakfast for two. When arriving at the bakery, I was told that my booking is not there, so they can offer us a table outside (it was 16 degrees outside that morning – not happy to have my breakfast in cold – I was also not dressed to sit outside). Wanted to talk to a manager, but unfortunately she was off on Sunday. After a discussion with a lady behind a counter, they have set a table inside. The place was looking as a exploded bomb – chairs everywhere, tables without any order (the manager was off INDEED), but Ok, after 15 min. we sat at our table inside, however this is not the way you want to start your Sunday morning. While having breakfast, the stuff was busy bringing tables out, taking glasses and cutlery on and off the tables – something had went wrong for sure. I was blaming myself why I had not ordered a breakfast in an international hotel somewhere in Cape Town….<\/span><\/p>\n

We ordered our dishes and drinks, my husband – ordered a tea and got a coffee in place. At that stage it was getting funny there. But the food was ok, not wow, but a kind of that you can expect in a bakery outside a city.<\/span><\/p>\n

When going to the counter to pay I looked accidentally into their Book for reservations and saw clearly my name and a tel. no. standing there :-))))))) On my remark about that the lady told they have thought that my name was strikethrough (you will not believe why they have though it – because it was written on a separation line in their book – hahaha – you have to be a really clever one to make this kind of mistake.<\/span><\/p>\n

But we made our day later on by having a wonderful lunch in a fantastic place in Cape Town to forget our morning disaster \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n

I would not recommend this Jordan place to my friends as we have also had a very salty lunch a time ago. But salty food is very subjective indicator of course, however for us Jordan is No-Go unfortunatel<\/span>y.<\/span><\/p>\n

We showed up for our reservation only to not be found in their system. Disaster! But, alas, they found us a place to dine never the less. (Turns out we had been mysteriously booked at their sister restaurant in town…) The people were delightful, the food wonderful, and it was a very nice place tucked away with a wonderful view. A gracious place to enjoy an innovative and creative meal in the heart of the vineyards!<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
