Bangkok cracks down on taxis حملة على سيارات التاكسي في بانكوك

Thai authorities have announced a series of measures designed to improve the quality of Bangkok’s taxi services.

The Bangkok Postreported the country’s Transport Minister, Prajin Juntong, as saying that a new set of guidelines will be introduced, including standards for the cleanliness and condition of vehicles, and the manners of drivers.

Operators that meet the guidelines will be able to place a sticker on their cars, assuring passengers of the quality of service. These taxis will also be able to raise their fares.

“If cab drivers and taxi operators accept the conditions for the fare increase, the department will take 45 days to inspect their vehicles and certify their services. This will be done next month. After that, taxi fares will be allowed to increase no later than December,” Prajin was quoted saying by the newspaper.

While being plentiful and cheap, Bangkok’s taxis are often criticised for the poor quality of service and driving standards.

وقد أعلنت السلطات التايلاندية سلسلة من التدابير الرامية إلى تحسين نوعية خدمات سيارات الأجرة في بانكوك.

وقالت السلطات  إن مجموعة جديدة من المبادئ التوجيهية في هذا الخصوص تشمل  معايير للنظافة وحالة المركبات، وآداب السائقين.سوف يستجيب مشغلي سيارات التاكسي اللمبادئ التوجيهية  من خلال وضع  لاصق على سياراتهم، مؤكدا الركاب من جودة الخدمة.  وستظهر سيارات التكسي بشكل راقي ومبين 

واضاف “اذا سائقي سيارات الأجرة ومشغلي سيارات الأجرة تقبل الظروف لزيادة الأجرة، ولتنفيذ الاجراءات الجديدة تم اعطاء امدة  45 لتفقد وصيانة المركبات  واعتماد خدماتها. وسيتم ذلك في الشهر المقبل قبول زيادةاسعار السيارات . بعد ذلك، سوف يسمح أجور سيارات الأجرة في موعد أقصاه ديسمبر “، ونقلت الصحيفة عن Prajin لزيادة نقلته الصحيفة.
