Spain to Teach Islam in Schools Next Year

WTTEN-It has been exactly a year since Spain’s Ministry of

Education approved the guidelines on how Islam will be taught in its schools.

The plan was not implemented in the current school year, however, the Education Ministry has announced that it will be put into action starting the next school year.

According to the Spanish newspaper, Le Vante, the government will hold meetings with the representatives of the Muslim community to set agreements on the issue. This subject was brought to light due to the fact that the number of Muslim students is increasing in Spain — around two million students to be exact.
