VisitJordan.com has recently announced a story highlighting a number of reasons to discover the country.

Dead Sea

Wadi Rum

The semi desert region in the south of Jordan, Wadi Rum is also known as the Valley of the Moon. With its rose sandstone mountains, canyons and dunes that offer trekking and climbing possibilities, Wadi Rum can be explored by jeep, camel or horse or hot air balloon. The best time of the year to visit Wadi Rum is either in early spring (March/April) or in late autumn (October/November).

Jordanian food

used in the Jordanian palate have been traded through this region for hundreds of years, such as the national dish of Jordan, the mansaf, made of lamb cooked in fermented dried yogurt called jameed and served with rice or bulgur. Desserts include kanafeh with a buttery sweetness and the world-famous baklava.

Snorkelling

Jordan is often seen as a country of desert and mountains but Aqaba’s waters have abundant marine life: the Gulf of Aqaba is home to hundreds of species of coral, fish and aquatic animals. For snorkelling fans or beginners, Aqaba offers easy access to dive spots and great opportunities for underwater photography.
