rdan Tourism Board has issued a plea to its industry partners around the world to “convey an accurate image” of the Middle Eastern destination as safe for travel as unrest rocks its neighbours.

In a letter issued on Friday, managing director Dr Abed Al Razzaq Arabiyat sought to alleviate concerns about travelling to the region which have spiralled in light of recent events.

“Although there is instability around the region, we remain a safe destination that offers diversified tourism experiences,” he wrote.

“Jordan”s people remains as welcoming and hospitable as eve, greeting all guests with open arms and a warm smile.”

Now is “as good a time as any” to visit the destination, he claimed, highlighting optimal weather conditions, festivals and gastronomic tourism as drawcards for tourists from all over the world.

“We rely on you, our friends, to convey an accurate image as ambassadors of Jordan,” he concluded.
